Brayton Point
Designed by: Chris Cote Architect
The cupola atop the original barn was a local landmark, loved by neighbors and vacationers alike. The homeowners were committed to recreating it when they began designing an expansive new home on the historic 50-acre waterfront farm. When it became apparent that it wouldn’t work well with the new house design, they opted to add an adjacent pool house-meets-guest house to keep their commitment to the cupola. The result is a barn-style building that looks like it’s always been there, and helps give context to the gracious new contemporary farmhouse.
