This house was built for windsurfing clients to enjoy the prevailing summer winds that funnel through the Sakonnet River. Deep overhangs, terraces and porches allow the owners to enjoy several outdoor spaces. It has won multiple awards including the 2015 RI American Institute of Architects Residential Design Award. Here’s some of what the jury had to say:
“It embodies nicely proportioned interior spaces which are integrated with its site orientation for both livability and sustainability.”
